OnTheLine: Extreme Sailing to take Newport by storm in an amazing race photo shoot competition!

NEWPORT, RI 8/5/2011 OTL Production Company will be introducing its cast for the soon to be filmed OnTheLine: Extreme Sailing series with a day-long promotional event scheduled in Newport on Monday, August 8th.

The cast line-up for the show are mostly Rhode Island residents; Tom C. Erb, Becca GT, Susan Heiss,

Francine Bouska , Holt Murray, Lennin Pena, Haley Lane Murphy, Heidi List Murphy,

Morgan O’Connor, Emma Gruttadauria, Frank Petty, Carolyn Van Petten and Jessica Conlan.

Tucker Thompson, truly a local by trade and long-time fixture of Newport’s sailing community, along with JP Shipman from Cape Cod, MA round out this dynamic and fun-loving cast of characters.

Many local businesses have signed on to be apart of the show. O’Brien’s Pub was first up to host a Meet & Greet event with a jam-packed night of festivities sponsored by Heineken. John Callahan’s Bellevue Wine & Spirits is already schedule to be showcased in OnTheLine’s premier episode, and Asterick, owned and operated by John Bach-Sorensen was host to the first cast meeting, jump-starting OTL’s next phase of production.

“Bowen’s Wharf Company is excited at the opportunity to be involved with OTL Productions”, states Bart Dunbar. “It is encouraging to see a production company so supportive of local commerce. We look forward to working with them in conjunction with our participating businesses.”

Heidi List Murphy joined OTL Productions in April as their local promotions manager. As Port Crew Captain, Heidi works with local business to link them into promotional opportunities within the show. “This show will boost any local business especially in the area of hospitality”, says Murphy. “I am thrilled to be apart of a company that is dedicated to buying and supporting local companies.”

“Both network and online shows have done a great deal to boost the local economies in which they shoot, especially in the area of hospitality. The impact on local businesses here in Newport can be equally significant,” says OTL developer Hunter J. Guerin.

Using a combination of interactive media and open-set locations, OTL will be producing an exciting series showcasing extreme sailing and it’s heroes. OnTheLine is a loosely scripted reality show about a fictional production company making extreme sailing documentaries. OnTheLine goes behind-the-scenes of this fictional crew as they produce each entertaining episode. Viewers can join this cast of characters as they interact locally and online with extreme sailors, celebrities, athletes, fans and the social elite at many local business locations.

“Our open-set allows fans and visitors to interact directly with the fictional production crew while they film,” states Scott Rosenfelt, the show’s producer/director. “Fans can step into the live-action and may see themselves in an episode.”

The show’s producers Scott Rosenfelt and R. Vincent Smith have a long list of successes in both TV and film with the likes of Mystic Pizza, Home Alone, 30-Rock and RI’s own Body of Proof.

OTL Productions has made a commitment to buy and hire locally and help to promote local business. Businesses are invited to participate in the On The Line show through its Port Crew program and other sponsor opportunties.
